OLD STRONG GUYS RULE

OLD STRONG GUYS RULE

strength and power training

for the masters athlete

Born from a hashtag Old Strong Guys Rule hasn't just been my passion it's been my way of life for over 20 years.

Not too many Strength Athletes can say that they've not just competed in the Masters Division but have been extremely successful winning National and World Championships as a Master Athlete.

You do not get to do that unless you can stay healthy and after all isn't that is key in life, to be strong and healthy?

How do you achieve such longevity and success?

Let Ed teach you his proven methods or as he likes to say:

'Have you been EDucated?'

"If being strong is wrong

then I don't want to be right" ™

Philosopher & Story Teller

History has always been shared in stories and if you know me then you know I love to tell a story or three and if you listen closely you might just learn a thing or two.

Did you know that research has shown that our memories thrive off of story telling? Why? Well it's because it's far easier for us to remember a good story than it is to remember cold hard facts.

I want to inspire, motivate and educate not just Masters Athletes but everyone that is getting a little older and wants to stay active and healthy but with those extra birthdays comes battling some health issues.

I want to use my journey in the Wonderful World of Physical Culture to tell a story but not just any story I am gonna share MY story of perseverance through a tough life to become a champion in not only in sports but in life.

I am also going to share the stories of many others who continue to train hard in their garages while balancing their family commitments, careers and life.

Training for Masters Heavy Athletics Events requires a delicate balance of Training and Recovery.

Improvements in Strength, Power and Fitness coupled with increases in Technical Mastery of the events should be the focus of your training.  You have a limited amount of time with family commitments BUT also in your body's physical responses to training as well.  Knowing how to get the best out of the Masters Athlete's body is both a science and an art.

Training for Strength and Health over 55

What are your goals for training?  Goals are important and give your training somewhere to go!!

They can be as simple as I want to play with my grandchildren or working in the garden or simply getting out of your favorite chair without grunting and groaning.

How about being able to walk to the park to play with those wonderful grandchildren or play a round of golf and not feel like you're dying the entire time

Let's chat about this if this is your goal because I know I can get you feeling amazing once again
